Today began the same as any other day. About an hour after the Devo, I clicked on a post on face book. Instantly, my computer screen went white, and a warning box popped up, saying that my account had been suspended for suspicious activity. It went on to say that my computer was no longer operable. Immediately, I tried to do a shut down, but had to manually turn it off. After restarting, the screen was the same. I called my husband to come help me, and no matter what we did, we could not get anything to work. Forcing shut down, unplugging and re-plugging, NOTHING would work. There was a number on the screen to call, and so we reluctantly called. They were "So sorry this happened, but they could help." We were given a code to type in, which we did. Things happened quickly, and it seemed everything was going well. Cue the dramatic music....Dun Dun Dun... Suddenly we were told that the problem was because we were trying to use the anti virus program without paying for it. Well, we had not used that program for probably a year and a half, kept trying to get rid of it, yet it remained. They sent an image of packages we could pay for, which would magically restore everything. The prices were outrageous!!! ($340.00 for 1 year) I shook my head no, and whispered to my husband that this was a scam. He kept telling the man on the phone "We're poor folks, we can't afford that." The man kept saying there was nothing he could do then, that NONE of our computers or devices would work ever again. I finally just hung up on him. I walked outside to try to clear my head, and I must admit that the thoughts invading my mind were not very kind. But, I just stopped and said out loud,"Father, forgive them, and I thank you for their salvation. Thank you that they will find Jesus and repent and be saved." I kid you not when I tell you that less than 10 seconds later, my husband came outside and said "I've got it back and I think it is all okay!" Things that had not been working well were working better than they had in a long time!!! We did end up putting another antivirus on the computer, and from the time it crashed until it was finally all back up was about 7 hours total. Some people may say it is a coincidence, or that we should or should not have done this or that. We are extremely careful with what we do on our electronics. And the bottom line is this: I believe that instead of getting angry, but going to my Father in prayer, and praying for the hackers and scammers, God honored that! Our electronics are not everything, but they are important to us. And I know we are important to GOD! I also know that He cares for us deeply, even in situations like this. It reminded me I need to continue to pray for those who hurt us, to bless and not curse. And I am continuing to give GOD all the honor and glory! HE truly cares for us, and He is faithful!

When I think I'm defeated, my life is not over, My Father is waiting for me! He takes my hand and He quiets my fears, and then He whispers to me: Fear not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am they God: I will strengthen and help thee; And I will uphold thee; Stand firm, believe in your God. Nothing can ever compare to the joy and the happiness that His love brings I have a purpose and I know that He loves me, and to His promise I cling. Living a life that is more than abundant, I walk with my Father each day I have no worries now when things start to shatter, for I can still hear Him say: Fear not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am they God: I will strengthen and help thee; And I will uphold thee; Stand firm, believe in your God.
