More praises from wedding week,  wedding day and post wedding week. Our  oldest son Chris was able to give my Aunt Ruby , his Aunt Terri and their Grandma (my mom)  a ride up to the reception building from the wedding gazebo area., down the hill God knew, that Chris, with his servant heart and  being an usher (making him available after the ceremony) would allow him to be available to bring his car down to give them a ride. Due to physical limitations and/or needing a safer way up the hill vs beautiful, but uneven steps, was a huge blessing to us all. Next….. Being able to spread the Truth OF my Faith, with many guest on the brides side.  I am not sharing this to brag, I am sharing this because God made an opportunity for me to praise Him.   Many of the  brides guest came up to me, the Mom of the  groom, and let me know how much they adore my son, and think he’s so thoughtful,  so kind and so nice.  I told them thank you and that I was glad for that.  As his  mom, I can tell you he’s not perfect, But I am so happy, in the big picture, he is a wonderful young man. I let them know I appreciated them sharing that with me. But, I also added…. “when he graduated from college in 2014 and moved from Michigan to South Carolina, I prayed for God to take care of him and parent him in ways that we, as parents, had dropped the ball”. Because, don’t  we all know, as parents, we try our best, and then have to let go. So….then we have to put them in God’s  hands. Next…. While the bride and groom, were in Michigan for the wedding, their county in South Carolina, Spartanburg county,  lost power as Hurricane Helene  bared down on northern South Carolina…and much more. So less than 48 hours after they left South Carolina for the wedddimg, the house lost power along with a huge area. Here’s where God shows up. The neighbor was taking  care of the cat, therefore had access to the house. My son had a small generator for emergencies. This neighbor was able to use the generator to keep his refrigerator cold and my son’s  refrigerator cold. Therefore, after getting married, they were able to go home to safe food instead of a huge mess to clean up from  the freezer ans refrigerator. In addition, since they were up north, and way away from the disaster, they were able to pick up a generator of the same make, and a similar model, for the neighbor, per the neighbor’s request. AND, they actually had room to fit that generator into the vehicle,  all the way to South Carolina. Praise God that weather did not come in two days sooner and cause them to perhaps be trapped or even harmed as they traveled north, on one of the roads that was severely damaged and is still impassable. Please continue to pray for all of those affected by the storm far and wide. Since the audio during last week’s live was  a little bumpy at times, feel free to go back and read last week’s part one, on everydayoutreach.com.. PS. They head home from there London, and other parts of Great Britain honeymoon, Saturday morning. Praise God, They have been safe the whole time.

I have so many things to praise God for, around our Son’s wedding 2 1/2 weeks ago, that this will be part one. God went before us through the whole process of this wedding, as we began to plan it last fall. We had chosen a restaurant for the rehearsal dinner, last fall. At Christmas time our son and his fiancé visited us in Michigan, from upstate South Carolina. The rehearsal dinner location and wedding venue are about two hours away, ans we went to visit both locations with them while they were in Michigan. I did not call ahead to the rehearsal dinner location . I didn’t want them to be prepared for anything or have the right answers. I followed my gut/the the Holy Spirit in that decision. My son has been allergic to peanuts since he was a toddler. He’s now also allergic to cashews and pistachios. So at the restaurant, he asked the waitress if they use peanut oil. The waitress went to check and came back and said they don’t use peanut oil, but said “full disclosure, every two weeks we boil peanuts in one particular pot”. That was the end of that rehearsal dinner location choice. We left and ate somewhere else. And to be honest, it wasn’t that nice of a restaurant, nor was it in a very good location. I chose another restaurant in the same general area of Lansing Michigan. I contacted them and asked many questions, including if they use peanut oil or have nuts. Explaining the reason for our event, and our son’s nut allergy. I learned then that the chef has a son, unfortunate for his family, is allergic to peanuts. Therefore, the chef and the whole staff understand how to be nut safe and safely serve guests with allergies. Even though there were snafus with some of the other details of rehearsal dinner, the day of, we are still VERY blessed for God’s provision in going before us with this matter of life protecting details and ease any anxiety, the groom, or this mama would have. Speaking of safety, perhaps saving lives, and God going before us…. The bride’s mom used to live in Lake Lure NC, and now lives a fair ways west of Lake Lure. Yes, her home lost power for several days while gone for the wedding, but she had no damage to her home, her yard or her driveway. and she wasn’t in North Carolina where she could’ve potentially been in danger during hurricane Helene, since her gentemen friend lives in Lake Lure NC. Two of the wedding guests, which includes the gentlemen friend, live in Lake Lure. It is possible, those two elderly people, not from the same household, would have been stuck/trapped at home or in danger, if they had been in North Carolina. Praise God for his blessings of safety. From what I hear, their homes are safe, barre South a few days ago we’re still waiting for power to be turned on. Unfortunately, that means they will have a refrigerator/freezer full of food to deal with. Minor compared to what could have happened. At one point the bride said, “I plan a wedding a year out and it causes people to pre-evacuate before a hurricane hits Florida and up thru North Carolina. And that’s where we bring in God going before two bridesmaids from Florida. One from Jacksonville, and one from Orlando. They were ONLY delayed in flying out, but SAFE. Unfortunately, were not able to be at rehearsal, but were able to make it to the rehearsal dinner and WERE ABLE to be there as bridesmaids on this special wedding day. Praise God. And that is the end of part one. Sidenote….as i typo this, they are flying out for their honeymoon yet this week. I’d appreciate prayers for safe travels there and back and during their Time in London, and The surrounding area. PS… I might need a reminder to do part two. 😊
