It's always on my heart to bless someone when I am out, to keep an eye out for the opportunities God sends my way.
I was feeling very weak so my husband was pushing me in a wheelchair at the doctors office, even though we were there to have his ankle x-rayed for a possible hairline fracture. I also had to go in for a blood draw.
Brad, my husband's name is also Brad, parked me in the hallway while the nurse spoke with him. I already felt like a burden, now I'm blocking the hallway.
But God...sent me the blessing that day. Along comes a beautiful, eldery southern woman, complete with accent who says, Hello Honey, and proceeds to ask me if I know Jesus as my Savior and if I'm looking forward to His return. At that moment I was glad to have a mask on. Wore one because I'm on chemo and susceptible to germs, even though they don't work and I can't breathe in them, but I digress.
At that moment I was glad to have my face hid by that mask because it hid my sadness of the day, but she instantly turned it to joy when she said, Honey, I can always tell if someone loves Jesus. I can see it in their eyes.
I left with joy over meeting a beautiful soul that shared Jesus' Joy with me, and a husband who did not have a fractured ankle. He said he wasn't faking it. ❤️😊🙌
There is joy in the Lord!
Isn't God good? He always knows how to bless His children!
