Bit of context: I wrote this one about 2-3 weeks ago while thinking about the fate of my unbelieving family and friends. It is my plea to those who are lost.
I pray it is an encouragement to you all to preach the Gospel and to pray for the lost. Please let me know what you think of this one. Not my usual style of writing but thought it needed to be said. 💕
Yours in Christ Delanie.
My Plea
My friend, I've held the hands of dying men,
And walked some to the grave;
Yet all the while praying,
That God, my loved ones would save.
The more and more I see of death,
Reminds me greater still;
That I am completely helpless,
Apart from my Father's will.
I can not save you, I can only plea,
That you of your sins would repent, and the Gospel believe;
And to the Lord I continue to pray,
That He would save you, before that Great Day.
He is Good! And He is God!
As another is laid under the sod;
Life is a vapor, you know we all must die,
My dear friend, you refuse the Gospel still?
Oh tell me Why!
Thanks for sharing Delanie ❤️ I'm so thankful that God hears our pleas, He bends down low to hear us when we pray. He collects our tears in a bottle, and He answers our prayers
So well written and loved it
So very well said, and I believe this is the heart cry, the plea of us all, that our loved ones (and all of the unsaved) would repent and be saved. Well done, Delanie!
