We heard the intro details from the Book of Joshua this morning. It is always so exciting to begin a new Book of the Bible and dig in to find the hidden treasure of golden nuggets of truth that God has for us to mine. I hope you are keeping your Bible, pen and notebook, and even your handy dandy Esword Concordance near by as we search the scriptures together. I know I learn and remember so much better if I jot down a note. In my oldest Bible, I can see in my minds eye, a note or the color of the highlighter marker or what portion of the page I made my notation, all these years later.
I also love pulling out my Bible later in the day, or turn on the E-sword or youtube version, and listen to the Bible being read. On Youtube I can have the video read faster or slower depending on what I'm doing.
I learned that little trick back when I listened to Pastor Chuck Smith. All his Bible students would speed up his tapes because he spoke so slowly. However, Sometimes I like to listen to the Bible slower. It gives my brain a bit more time to process.
