We heard the intro details from the Book of Joshua this morning. It is always so exciting to begin a new Book of the Bible and dig in to find the hidden treasure of golden nuggets of truth that God has for us to mine. I hope you are keeping your Bible, pen and notebook, and even your handy dandy Esword Concordance near by as we search the scriptures together. I know I learn and remember so much better if I jot down a note. In my oldest Bible, I can see in my minds eye, a note or the color of the highlighter marker or what portion of the page I made my notation, all these years later.
I also love pulling out my Bible later in the day, or turn on the E-sword or youtube version, and listen to the Bible being read. On Youtube I can have the video read faster or slower depending on what I'm doing.
I learned that little trick back when I listened to Pastor Chuck Smith. All his Bible students would speed up his tapes because he spoke so slowly. However, Sometimes I like to listen to the Bible slower. It gives my brain a bit more time to process.

This came to mind after we finished Joshua 11
I cross referenced some verses regarding the Scarlet Thread that Rahab placed outside her window..... Behold, when we come into the land, you shall tie this scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and you shall gather into your house your father and mother, your brothers, and all your father's household. Joshua 2:18
Wow, were you encouraged by the passage in Joshua this morning? So be strong and courageous! Trust and Obey God. Get ready....a miracle is about to happen!
